Research Question -------------------- How to communicate the concept of water footprint in relation to food ingredients? Background ------------- It’d be really hard for anybody to answer a question like — What is the amount water you ‘eat’ everyday? Water is the lifeblood of this planet and as a commodity its a vital component in the nexus of international trade. Food products that we buy have information about the nutritional values of its contents in the forms of labels, but there is never a mention of its water footprint especially when every time a product is being bought or sold there is a virtual exchange of water. The project is an endeavour to look at cohesively communicating the concept of water footprint of food products, sources of ingredients and their impact on global water resources.
