An in depth investigation of Cabbagetown inspired this pedestrian centred wayfinding system for the city of Toronto. The use of three totems aims to provide a system with a well designed user experience that prioritizes pedestrian exploration and navigation of Toronto's downtown core. Using found knowledge and observations from my studies in Cabbagetown, I developed a wayfinding system that envelops all of downtown Toronto to help pedestrian traffic navigate their way through the city, and to show pedestrians where things are. Legible London is a main precendent to the system. As such, it needed to be clean, organized, and ultimately: legible. What is shown is a system proposal for all of downtown Toronto, but will focus on Cabbagetown as an example area of reference. Read Less
