The library ceiling is based on the neo-classical style of Robert Adam and features a central panel based on Michelangelo's drawing of Jupiter and Ganymede ascending to Mt Olympus. The border has trompe l'oeil busts of famous figures of arts and letters, including Adam and David Hockney. I painted it in 2006. Overall size is 12'x28' approx.
