For my Print Design class the instructor wanted us to makes Valentine's Day cards that we could sell on campus. My target audience for my card was women in long distance relationships. I began by making the card heart shaped, cliche I know, but it sells to women...for some reason they love hearts. I used a graphic of a map for the background to signify the distance of the relationship, and put two hearts connected with a dashed line to represent the individuals in the relationship. In the center of the hearts I placed velcro so that the card could easily be sealed since it is not made to be mailed in an envelope. The velcro is also meant to signify the bond of the relationship by the way that the hearts stick together even though they are on opposite sides of the world.
