This was phase 1 in a competition for students - UNKNOWN (Housing as open problem). The problem identified is in Romania, in Prahova County, where a priest has built a shelter for orphans and young, single mothers. The number of people sheltered is continually growing, but the resources aren't enough. So I imagined a very simple, easy-to-build, eco-friendly and natural option. A house that can be assembled in less than a week and that will offer shelter for anyone in need, helping them get on their feet and giving them a fresh new start in life. Basically, we're talking about one module that can be linked to others alike. The bathroom unit is separate and it contains the recipients for rain water, that can be reused in the household, thus lowering expenses. Read Less
