United Consumer Manifesto
United Consumer Manifesto is a fictional activism project rooted from the many issues of consumerism. This investigation provoked viewers into articulating their concerns, and submitting their written messages online. The submissions were used as content for a series of posters, which became the vehicle for spreading the word to a larger audience.
United Consumer Manifesto:
People from all over, united under one cause, to share their concerns and ideas about consumerism in their lives.
Excessive consumerism creates different problems for everyone, both socially and financially. What has excessive consumerism done to you?
We can no longer sit by. We all need to look at these problems together to help form our future. UCM wishes to help spread everyone’s experience to better understand the problem. We all have different perspectives and experiences. The problem is seen as serious and trivial, that is why our approach yields to both sets of views.
Write your message on a piece of paper. Any paper, any size, any colour, using any pen, pencil, marker, whatever you have access to. Then take a photo of it, any way you wish. You don’t have to show your face if you are shy.
Share it with your friends!
