Typographic and Calligraphic Works

I studied both Visual Arts and Graphic Design and have always tried to combine them together in my work. One of the most enjoyable things for me at the design institute was to DRAW types. As a result came a fascination for Calligraphy that I studied by myself in the years to come. Here are some samples of my published and personal works that included Calligraphy or illustrated Typography.
Typographic and calligraphic work for The Nutcracker CD cover, EMI Records, 2010
Rick Riordan's The Heroes of Olympus series logo, Hyperion Books for Children, 2010. All the letters for this work were handmade and used for some other elements in the book jackets. There is a pretty good animation they did of both sides of the coin on Disney's website.
The Magic Thief series by Sarah Prineas, Harper Collins, 2008-2010. It all started with the header for the series but the use of the types and frames I created was extended to many of interior art elements in the books as well (maps, chapter openers, recipes).
Oracles of Delphi Keep series logo by Victoria Laurie, Random House, 2009-2010.
Knightley Academy title crest, Simon & Schuster, 2009.
Iron Letters: A, personal work, 2007
