This inspiration for this piece is the beach. I wanted to hide the treasure of the sea, an uncut piece of sea glass, in a locket so the wearer would have to seek it out like they would an actual treasure of the sea. Read Less

Pearls, sea glass, and shells are prized jewels of the sea. They are sought-after by their finders. This necklace is designed around the concept of finding treasures of the sea. This glass in the bezels were hand cut and manipulated; the splash castings were produced to look like water. These are imitations of a true treasure. The genuine treasure of the sea in this necklace is a piece of seaglass hidden in a locket that must be sought out and opened inorder to enjoy it. 
Process: Splash casting, hydraulic press, lapidary, prong setting, soldering, piercing, and wire wrapping
Materials: Sterling silver, sea glass, fresh water pearls, and shell
