Working directly with the Game Director and the Art Director, I first helped develop the UI's overall flow and art direction, concepting several completely unique iterations. I then designed and laid-out nearly every screen of UI in the game and all of its iconography.
In addition to establishing the look and feel, I was also responsible for building out the designs into Flash, animating elements, and programming functionality and engine hookups in ActionScript. For this I worked with an additional UI team member and an ActionScript specialist.
The Flash UI movies were finally imported into Unreal Engine 3 through Scaleform GFx (a feature now standard in the UDK) and iterated on throughout development across 3 game platforms.
