The "Tió de Nadal" is a mythological Catalan - Aragonese character for Christmas celebrations. Tradition : The cagatió reaches the homes of children at December 8th coming from the lush forests. From that day, kids have to gives him food every night, cover it with a blanket to get wharm while sleeping. It has to be well fed so fed up until Christmas Eve, the day thaht the kids sink it with a stick because the "Tió" has to defecate litle gifts. Traditionally, the " Tió " always defecated goodies, wafers and candies for kids. Not large objects. Currently defecates all kinds of gifts for the little ones. Tió tradition is akin to the Christmas tree, also carries gifts for the little ones in the house. t is common to wear a beret and a smiley face on one end and hold it with two or four legs. This design allows to create your own Tió face. Maybe ungry if the child misbehaves, very happy if the child has behaved very well in school,... etc. This can be helpful for your child education.
