First I wanted to go a different path with this one. I wanted to reproduce a reference shot as close as possible - similar to the paintings I did before. But then I decided that a Middle-Earth themed painting needed to be more ... rough and savage and that it needs more texture. So I ended up with this piece. I hope you like it. (The leather texture in the very background is not painted, it's a manipulated photo.)
