About

A conceptual poster design based on today's grim state of hip-hop and its future.
Published:
In hip-hop culture, rappers who present social awareness through their music are called "emcees" (sometimes described as MCs, or "microphone controllers".) Some highly acclaimed emcees are Common, Q-Tip and Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, and Jay Electronica, to name a few.

In today’s hip-hop world, emcees are rare as music subject matter has been diluted for less substantial topics. Through that concept, I created a robot from the future, an M.C., that raps, reads hieroglyphs, and observes the world through a third eye.
