Commissioned by the owners of this legendary downtown L.A. theater, we created a photo essay to share the spectacal of this unique space as it prepares to open again to public performances. Many consider this to be the most beautiful baroque theater in the country. The Historic Los Angeles Theatre was last and most extravagant of the ornate movie palaces built on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles between 1911 and 1931. Designed by S. Charles Lee with a French Baroque-inspired décor, it has a majestic six-story main lobby and 2,000 seat auditorium. Read Less
