The following project was part of the Future of Footwear design competition hosted by Pensole, a footwear design school based in Portland, Oregon. The competition was a 4 week course, where we had to work on our design through research, ideation, sketching, materials, colorways, rendering, 3d modeling, packaging, and tech packs. I was in the Athletic category, and my brief was to design a signature shoe for the first professional African-American basketball player, Harry Lew. The goal of the project was to bring awareness to who Harry Lew was, since he isn't well known despite his accomplishments.
Here is the result. Thank you for looking.
