The book is a comprehensive collections of works by artist Jan Terje Rafdals alias, Fiigenchou. He is an imaginary cat painter from the Baroque period. The artist has worked for more than 10 years on the project, and the book consists of a collection of art works, short stories and sketches. The designs have the same references as the artist, from the 17th and 18th centuries, in variations of both fonts and sizes, a mixture of justified and centred type, ornamental wood blocks, title pages and more. It also contains an original etching from the artist. The finished book is a result of a close cooperation between Jan Terje Rafdal and Work in Progress, and the workflow has been organically developed with specially made text and illustrations to enhance the storytelling. The book received a nomination at the Annual Norwegian Design Awards, Visuelt. Read Less
