Fifth Point Dewey Park design intervention
The Fifth Point
School Project: Spring 2012
The Fifth Point proposes a design that transforms Dewey Park in Boston into a sanctuary by experientially connecting the site to the city through “bridges”. A steel and wood structure over the park acts as a viewing platform or bridge which creates sectional relationships across the site. Pathways through the ground level of the site act as natural bridges in the landscape that connect to the sidewalk. This design capitalizes on how the site is an island from the city by creating a comfortable place for rest and relaxation.
