A photographic journey of one of Idaho's lesser known gems located on the Salmon River, "the river of no return". This project was completed during the late winter, early spring time. I plan to photograph this area in the late spring, summer and fall seasons, too, to portray the change that the seasons paint upon the land. Read Less

I am so fascinated with the land and the geology of Idaho.  Within 50 miles in any direction from where I live, the geology can go from towering, heavily forested mountains to almost level farm land , from hidden and unexpected canyons to deep valleys with swift moving, turbulent rivers.  You will always find something very different, depending on which direction you choose to travel.   And then, there is the weather....always changing, and so different in each location.  There are so many micro-climates imbedded within the landscape, that meteorologists can not accurately predict  the specific weather around here,    It is a challenge and a thrill seeking to portray the wildness and the beauty of this land.  I hope to impart the sense of freedom to the viewer that this land has so deeply ingrained within it and absolutely refuses to relinquish.
