  • This book was inspired to find a solution to not only eating healthy, but engaging in a sensual, stress relieving process of preparing food that is quick yet economical. I had always been a strong admirer of Japanese culture. Even in food, there exists one of the world’s most distinctive culinary traditions. Exploring the ethos of Washoku(traditional Japanese food), we learn to balance flavour, technique, aesthetics and nutrition. Coupled with the practicality of the Japanese bento, I seek to encourage mindful eating towards people who are  stressed out and to enjoy preparing and eating food in the spirit of Kokoro. (Kokoro means “heart; mind; mentality; emotions; feelings” in Japanese)
