I worked together with publisher, editor and writer on the Creative Direction of the "Lomo Life" book to celebrate the 20 Years of Lomography. A two volume hardcover books housed on a slipcase detailing the history of the Lomography's movement. Lomography began when two students in Vienna stumbled upon a small Russian camera called the Lomo Kompakt Automat (LC-A). Its trademark vignette shadowing, light-leaks and saturated colors were like nothing they had ever seen before. Setting themselves up as distributors, they soon attracted a cult following, and in no time the Lomography community went global. Now, Lomography is an international phenomenon. With over 150 modestly priced models, the film-based camera company has a huge and expanding global community of enthusiasts devoted to its ingenious range of film cameras and the brand’s experimental, creative, inclusive ethos. Book (Vol.1): features special photography showing off all the cameras in the Lomography range, including every limited edition and the best one-offs ever made. It also presents collaborations with a host of international superstars, including Paul Smith, Rob Ryan, Mike Perry, and Jack and Meg White. Graphic cross-referencing links each camera with its relevant accessories. Book (Vol.2): draws on the very best photographic material from the 1.5 million-strong Lomography community and is packed with recollections and anecdotes relating the stuff of Lomo legend from every corner of the world.
