The sculpture depicts the history and repetitive nature of travel and trade between the towns and cities in the south of England. Like a map, the horseshoes from stagecoaches are continuously directing the viewer diagonally up from Portsmouth, through Guildford and onwards to London. All 96 horseshoes were made by hand in the workshops of University for the Creative Arts Farnham by Daniel Hickey. Read Less
