A student project for restaurant design. The inspiration source and type of establishment is personally determined. I am fascinated by the resurgence of more traditional activities into current urban living, tea service is one such trend. I choose a modern and clean feel to the establishment to set it apart from other tea and coffee houses. This project is featured in the Graphic Design USA American Package Design Awards 2010 Also in The American Graphic Design & Advertising 26 Awards. Read Less

Restaurant Identity for a modern take on traditional english tea service
The initial inspiration for this project came from the pattern and furniture design of ,Arts and Crafts Movement, artist William Morris. His "Lattice" patter of intersecting, structure building lines is the source of the geometric structure for the logo. The use of photography was a strategic choice to add a medium that is typically missing from this type of establishment. The glass and outdoor images of a tea service is meant to be light and ethereal. The custom typography, pattern and photography is my own personal work.
