This is a prop that was built by Yuji Yoshimoto, and photographed by Tom Schierlitz, under my art direction for a story that TIME ran on Facebook's online community peaking at 500 million users. This image ran as the interior spread accompanying the cover story. It was a prop composed of over 1000 pins intertwined with plotting strings to convey the idea of Facebook spreading, and connecting people all over the world. Read Less
