This ready-to-wear spring/summer 2011 collection explores the period between the 20s and 30s of the 20th century. It tells the story about countryside aristocratic and bohemian lifestyle. The 6 garment capsule collection is strongly inspired by the English cultural and historic references. The inspiration is taken from the pre-war times and its social and cultural references. The British Style is strongly affected by Agatha Christie biography, her life and novels as well as her favorite detectives such as Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. A lot of inspiration is also taken from movies like Gosford Park, The King's Speech, Foyle's War etc. which show the lifestyle, atmosphere of that era. The mood is rooted in the idea of shooting parties and aristocratic sports. What is more, the collection is inspired by the P.G. Woodhouse’s Jeeves and Wooster stories which add playfulness, satire and humor to the garments. The screenplay, Bright Young Things, based on the novel Vile Bodies by Evelyn Waugh joins the list of inspirations. Winston Churchill and The King’s Speech movie add a crucial note to the collection color palette.
