BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY IN THE LENS OF MODERN DAY

Create a book about a special topic that no one has done before. The book must show a designer’s ability to understand an aesthetic of typography. Also, the book has to represent a new innovative way to communicate with text and images.
 
CONCEPT
The idea of this book is the retelling of the 2,500 year old Buddhist philosophy in a very fresh and creative way. I applied the philosophy with the everyday phenomena, and tried to explain that why the causeand effect of those phenomena occurred by using Buddhist belief.
Because I wanted the book to be new and unique, I avoided using an over used image such as temples, monks,lotus or Buddha scriptures. I used a geometric graphic element combining bright colors and a modern typeface to represent Buddhist thoughts such as Grama,Happiness, Wants, Death and Nirvana.
