Surfaced and Scored 2010
A contuniation of the Surfaced series of drawings done on paper in ink (glossy and matte), card, Molotow markers and paint.
The surfaces are repainted a number with alternating heavy brushstokes in matte and glossy ink. They are then scored with a knife to reveal the older patterns underneath reinforcing a more striaghtfoward urban organisation.
Surfaced and Scored is intended to be reminscent of urban scale aerial photographs of cities and thresholds between cities and the open.
Once the drawings are finished they are re-lit and photographed - the final outcome being the digital print of the drawing.
