The City of Ithaca turned to local artists (includingmyself) to help conceal large electrical boxes that were both an eyesore andprone to vandalism. They received proposals from 50 artists, but had to chooseonly 21 because the number of electrical boxes was limited. My design, titled “Operation Cheese,” incorporatesa giant block of swiss-cheese with custom designed rappelling mice. I used automotivepaint to protect my installation from the elements and to reduce the potentialof color fade. If you visit Ithaca, NY you can find my whimsical electrical boxon the corner of Cayuga and Buffalo street.
I’m always open to public art installations. If you’reinterested in hiring me for a project send me a message.
