All of us have seen a river - large or small, either flowing through our village, town or somewhere else. I count myself more fortunate to live in a place where nature has been so lavish and where i have seen so magnificent and indigenous beauty of the river flowing in their natural shape. if there is magic on this earth, it exists in the surroundings of a river. from the chilled and refreshing water of early morning to the fresh fragrance in the air which travels through the water from the dark mango trees far across the river, everything is blissful. it is not easy to explain that magic, which retains in my mind even after so many years of those memories have passed. the memories of early morning gleam of the river beckoned by the sunrise light from the dense and dark trees are still fresh but can it continue with me tomorrow?
Rivers have been the lifelines of India’s ancient, pulsating, throbbing civilization. they have brought prosperity, culture, style, colour, values, wisdom, devotion, knowledge, romance, wonder and above all, a priceless spiritual heritage to the people of India for thousands of years. let it flow by itself otherwise our precious heritage of natural and unspoiled beauty and unpolluted streams, once exhausted and
