A personal project, in several versions: Silk-screening poster, ink drawing with pointed quill, sepia ink drawing over parchment, and sketchbook cover executed in gouache and graphite. The imagery depicts a dream I had many years ago, linked with the traditional tale of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice or Zauberlehrling. Here I show the four different versions of this theme, with a previous sketch and details of the diverse renditions of the theme. There is also a sonnet in Spanish I wrote to accompany the illustration, here shown in calligraphy. Silkscreening by Arturo Negrete at Color75º in Mexico City.
