This is a project for my Print & Digital Media 2 class with Roland Young, where we were given the opportunity to design whatever we want. I was inspired to incorporate fine art drawings with visual communication, so I've created an awareness poster series about some of our important social issues. These are initially drawn with graphite sticks, then enhanced digitally using Photoshop. The topics are communicated using metaphors with subtle and conceptual ideas, and I've also used paintings as the inspiration for the simple, handwritten signature idea of the titles, and the indirect approach of the messages and ideas. The topics are communicated using metaphors with subtle and conceptual ideas, and I've also used paintings as the inspiration for the simple, handwritten signature idea of the titles, and the indirect approach of the
messages and ideas.

(reflecting the impermanent living situations of refugees who had to depart their own homes or countries,
by using one's clothing as a tent.)

(using an early human being as reflection of the ignorance, inhumanity, and brutality of modern people to vulnerable species.)

(representing human beings that are being sold for sexual slavery or forced labor, by ironically using a liberty coin
replaced by an image of a concealed and abused girl.)

(reflecting global warming using the concept of a ripening chili pepper, where the color green parts—that represent
nature and life on earth—are slowly turning red, and will eventually become hotter like a ripe chili pepper.)

(a vanishing and journeying spirit of a child on his rocking animal toy, which represent his disappearing childhood
due to industry or business labour.
