A Citypark Shopping Mall is based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Originally, this vast complex didn’t have any professional signage and the visitors (especially first-timers) had a problem to navigate through the number of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Our client needed a visual identity redesign, including new way-finding system as a part of this effort. Due to the usage, this complex is divided into a parking-house and shopping area - both with specific requirements. We wanted to establish a visual “connection” between these two spaces. The main challenge was to design user-friendly interface, which will look like an integral part of interior and (in the same time) make the Citypark-brand more compelling, funny and recognizable. This is why based our solution on the creative usage of interior-spaces, modularity and dynamic interpretation of corporate colors.
