This project utilized digital applications such as Rhino and laser cutting to craft the sculpture. The form was first 3D modeled, serial sliced with registration holes for dowels, and cut out of wood on a laser cutter. The pieces were stacked on dowel rod cores and sanded on a spindle sander. After all the modules were created, the pieces were assembled and the dowels were clipped or removed. Read Less
