  • The Home Page

Shift was built with the idea of allowing a user experience the greatest possible flexibility.  The home page is built to allow for each section to be arranged or re-arranged anywhere on the page.  The background of each section has the option to change the color, the text color, or add an tiled background image.  It's also possible to add an image that can placed anywhere with that section.
  • The Blog

The blog was built in masonry layout, focusing on minimalism, but flexible layout from various screen resolutions and mobile devices.  I wanted a look that was simple, but sophisticated.  The blog fits nicely with particularly large screens all the way down to mobile devices.
  • Responsiveness

Responsiveness simply cannot be ignored when developing a theme.  Some people prefer, some don't.  But in Shift, the option, once again, is up to the user.  It's possible to enable or disable responsiveness in the Theme Options.  The responsiveness was built on the Bootstrap foundation.
  • SuperFolio Portfolio

I spent a good amount of time thinking about the Portfolio and Gallery templates.  There's a few options.  The SuperFolio is a custom script that does some fancy zooming, opening each portfolio item via ajax, displaying the content that was hidden without refreshing the page (hence the ajax).  It's a nice add-on.
  • The Forums

Included as well are bbPress Forums.  It seems more and more people are requesting forums on their blogs or sites to add that extra bit of functionality for their users.  So with Shift, it is available, if that is something a user wishes to display.
  • The Fancy Gallery

On the home page you can show a fancy gallery that looks like cards folded over the top of one another and when clicked that spread out in a nice grid layout.  Had to include this (Thanks CoDrops) because it fit so nicely in the design.
  • Unique Home Page Sliders

One of the priorities with Shift was to make it unique.  Instead of placing sliders within typical borders, I wanted to open it up to a little more flavor.  So I added browser graphics and even the url is editable within the Theme Options.
  • Premium Plugins

With Shift comes a few sweet addons.  Two Premium Sliders - Cute & Revolution - and a cool plugin that displays your team or clients with some fancy effects.  We added these plugins just to make it that much more attractive.
  • Details, Details, Footer

The footer is often over-looked in many themes, but I wanted to make sure Shift offered a little style to its footer.  The cool icons are completely editable and the widgets are perfectly versatile.  Twiiter, Flickr, Recent Posts, and widgets for all the premium sliders are available.
  • Theme Options

The real heart of Shift is in the Theme Options.  Hundreds of options are available, including the option turn on/off page preloader, the sticky header that follows you down the page, the responsiveness, the drop down panel that is slightly delayed on load, the color of each section, and over 500+ Google Fonts with a preview for each font.  Lots of time and coffee went into this one.
  • Thanks for having a look!
