King Lear, Hamlet and MacBeth are plays named after the main characters in the stories. My concept for the Shakespeare cover series was to take certain elements in each story and stain the title with it. In King Lear, I used water because every time a storm was brewing, it meant something tragic was going to take place. In Hamlet, the poisoned wine was used in the plot by the king to kill Hamlet but in typical Shakespearean irony, the wine killed Hamlet's mother by mistake and Hamlet used the leftover wine to finish off the king. In MacBeth, there was so much blood being spilled and the recurring blood stains were symbolic of MacBeth's guilt.
