Secret 7" combines music and art for a good cause. It gives creatives the opportunity to present their interpretation of a selected track from seven designated bands and artists on a one-of-a-kind 7" cover. I chose the evocative track 'The Beast' from the talented Laura Marling. I decided to create this piece with charcoal pencils in order to achieve the planned aesthetic. The concept is related directly to the lyrics, particularly the line "here comes the beast" where I have tried to depict the 'beast' coming home via a reflection in the being's eye. A step by step process was created in print for Computer Arts magazine (http://www.computerarts.co.uk) with the time lapse being the additional content for those who purchased the issue on iPad. Project description–
A step by step process was created in print for Computer Arts magazine with the time lapse being the additional content for those who purchased the issue on iPad.
