Project Summary: to create an art system for the Seattle Children’s Bellevue Clinic that is “creatively and thematically consistent with the architectural style of the building, its commitment to sustainability and the Seattle Children’s brand positioning (the future of pediatric health care), brand attributes (progressive, compassionate, collaborative, expert, philanthropic, open-minded, welcoming)”. Objective: to create the interior art (illustrations) for a healing environment that is fun, whimsical and intuitive based on the “Cascade Mountains to Puget Sound” theme. Background: “The Seattle Children’s Bellevue Clinic and Surgery Center is a new 75,000 square foot facility in downtown Bellevue, offering families on the Eastside easier access to Seattle Children’s services. Conveniently located near Overlake Hospital, the center will feature outpatient surgery, urgent care, radiology, pharmacy, lab, sports therapy gym and more than 15 clinics from orthopedics and sports medicine to general surgery. The clinic design has been LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified.” Read Less

Puget Sound Mural (staff room)
All these photos are from the downstairs main floor of the clinic in Bellevue, WA. There are 5 color coded patient exam room hallways with 4 staff area team rooms separating them. Each has a conceptual tie in to the Seattle Children's brand attributes and the overall theme of NorthWest Flora Fauna.
Team Room with the Rain Forest (Olympic Peninsula) mural
All patient exam rooms have illustrations that correspond to the overall theme of the hallway for easy wayfinding.
