Mostly we can find type within two-dimensional environments, whereby we can observe that every specific combination of type and medium results in specific opportunities, peculiarities and limit. In the case of those media, which tie type to two-dimensionality – like the book or the screen – there were made already quite big efforts to prove, describe and document the consequences, possibilities and limits of the combination of type and the medium. But type cannot merely be found on a surface, but also in other environments, like the three-dimensional space.
