The goal of the Sanctum campaign was to promote James's Cameron's new cave diving adventure film directly to thrill seekers, adrenaline junkies and generally unstable people that get off on oxygen deprivation and near-death stunts. We broadened that demographic by creating the Extreme Channel where users can go to vote on activities and determine if they are extreme enough to experience Sanctum. Brainstorming the idea for the channel was exciting, but what I enjoyed most about this project was writing and directing the intro video featuring Andrew Wight. The How Extreme Are You custom YouTube channel promotes Sanctum directly to thrill seekers by having them vote on activities to determine if they are extreme enough for the film. What I enjoyed most about this project was writing and directing the intro video featuring the Australian Cousteu, Andrew Wight. Wight co-wrote the film based on his own cave diving escapades under the Nullarbor Plain, which is an astounding 200,000 square kilometer limestone slab in Australia that is tremendously more interesting than my work so you should probably go check out right now.
