I was commissioned to create a proof-of-concept for a promotional poster for a contemporary photography studio under the direction of Studio Anthony Lane.
The objective was to create a unique series of posters with the intention of being mailed out to prospective clientele in the advertising and graphic design industries, as well as to current, personal clients.
I was asked to design the poster incorporating the new identity standards while using some kind of photographic process to create the final artwork.
After establishing a grid and structure for the typography, the layouts were printed out and re-photographed on large format instant sheet film. The sheets were double-exposed over a second exposure of the photographers original work. The composition was fine-tuned in-camera.
The concept was used to represent a sense of craft that S—Y practices in their creative portraiture studio, while creating a one-off type of design.
