PACKAGING DESIGN FOR PLYWOOD SAMPLES

PACKAGING DESIGN FOR PLYWOOD SAMPLES
THE PROJECT TASK WAS TO DESIGN PACKAGING FOR SAMPLES OF MATERIALS THAT THE COMPANY "SIMPO SIK" SENDS TO THEIR POTENTIAL BUSINESS PARTNERS. THE COMPANY  PRODUCES SHEET  MATERIALS MADE OF WOOD, AND BECAUSE OF THEIR WEIGHT, PACKAGING  WAS  DESIGNED  TO  PROTECT  THE  SAMPLES  FROM  DAMAGE, BUT IN OUR INTERPRETATION POTENTIAL  PROBLEMS  WITH  WEIGHT OF  PRODUCT  ARE  AVOIDED  BY  MAKING  THE  PRODUCT  ITSELF  A  SUPPORTING ELEMENT, NOT THE PACKAGING.
THE PACKAGING IS MADE FROM ENVIRONMENTALLY  SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS AND  GRAPHIC DESIGN IS  INSPIRED BY THE CROSS  SECTION  OF THE  MATERIAL  IT  CONTAINS.   PERFORATION ON  THE BOX  IS  PLACED  ON THE  FRONT PAGE  AND PARTIALLY ON SIDE PAGES, TO MAKE CONTENT MORE VISUALLY ACCESSIBLE AT ANY TIME. THROUGH THIS SAME HOLE THE HANDLES ARE  PLACED, WHEN   THE PRODUCT  SHOULD BE PULLED OUT  FROM THE BOX. THIS ROPE HAS A DUAL FUNCTION, BESIDES  SERVING  AS  A  HANDLE,  IT  CONNECTS  ALL  THE  SAMPLES,  THUS  PREVENTING  THEM  FROM  GETTING  LOST.
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!
