I started the design with the idea of creating a lightweight and futuristic footwear, capturing all the needs of a player like Rubio. With the idea of tank wheels and origami in mind I wanted to obtain a divided outsole and a different type of cushioning system. I tried to minimize the hard parts like PU in the upper or the rubber on the outsole, and get profit of lightest materials used by Nike. The Neoprene tongue it’s divided in two parts to improve the movement of the feet while running. A small “RR” signature logo is printed on the heel of the shoe.

I’ve chosen polyurethane for the hard parts of the shoe, and Hyperfuse material to envolve the feet. The cushioning system is achieved by a double injection of Termoplastic Poliurethane (TPU) on the rubber outsole. The heel gets stability and protection on the impacts.
