The Process: A book about Rice and Ramyeon, the most staple food in Korea.Rice and Ramyeon are must-have-kitchen-items for Koreans; however, they arevery different from each other. Our ancestors regarded rice as the most preciousfood. It is healthy and natural. Ramyeon is a relatively recent invention. Itis artificial and instant food, which is produced in the factory. However dueto its irresistible taste and convenience to cook, it became very popular inKorea.
To represent these two contrary characteristics, two mediums were used toillustrate them. Rice was drawn mostly by pencil, with saturated, calm colors, while Ramyeon was drawn with vivid colors using a pen.
