Somewhere in the English countryside, tucked away in the undergrowth, lives a community of little Ribena blackberries. Our only chance to meet the little guys are when they eagerly catapult themselves onto the Ribena farmer’s tractor.
The brief was to create an environment that would depict the English countryside in a hyperrealistic and naturalistic way. In order to achieve this, we decided to use a combination of miniature sets and 3D in creating this spot. The foreground set consisted of organic elements which were then dressed with handmade props and greens. A middle ground of miniature landscape basics such as trees, fences and hills were then applied to produce a realistic effect using forced perspective. Finally, a printed English landscape backdrop was used to frame the set. Our little berries, and the props they interacted with, were then modelled and animated so they would blend seamlessly with the environment.
