Jimmy Barnes & Joe Bonamassa - Lazy

The 40th anniversary of the Deep Purple album 'Machine Head', which along with Led Zeppelin 'IV' and Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid', is widely considered to be the holy trinity of British Rock. Quite simply, hard rock and heavy metal would not exist without them.

The anniversary has been honoured with a tribute album, with songs recorded by artists such as Jimmy Barnes, Joe Bonamassa, Iron Maiden, Glenn Hughes, Chad Smith, Steve Vai and Metallica, released on September 04, 2012.

Whilst shooting the 'making of' Joe Bonamassa's latest album 'Driving Towards The Daylight', we had the privilege of filming their chosen track 'Lazy', supported by a short film to describe the process behind it, released as a trailer for the album.

'Machine Head' is often cited as influential in the development of the heavy metal music genre. It is Deep Purple's most successful recording to date, topping the charts in several countries following its release. The album reached number 1 in the UK and stayed in the top 40 for 20 weeks. It reached number 7 in the US, remaining on the Billboard 200 for 118 weeks.
