A portfolio of portraits from Cherryfield, Maine
Raymond Strout is a carpenter, bloodworm digger, blueberry harvester, and beach scavenger, among other things. During photo fieldwork in Downeast Maine, I met Ray and had the opportunity to stay at his hand-cobbled home, taste of his homemade moose stew, explore his defunct boat collection, visit his father's grave, and salvage scrap rope on the rocky beaches near Cherryfield.
