This poster is designed for an exhibition “Looking Back, Design Forward“ held at RIT’s Vignelli Center for Design Studies in New York. All the invited designers chose an advancement or big event during 2000-2010 to celebrate. I decided for my topic to be about China’s economic rise. Chinese like to use mountains to describe the words ”high”and “rise”. The typography that spells “Rising china” is written from the shapes of differnt types of mountains. The green gradient and pink dots represent trees and flowers and also show the growth situation of China’s GDP from 2001-2010, all the ups and downs are true. Read Less
