Social media has taken over our lives. We are constantly bombarded with the opinions of our friends and followers. So we wanted to give these “gurus” and “rock stars” a place where they could thrive: in hell. Introducing Social Media Hell, a mobile site that allows users to unlock the seven levels of hell based on Dante’s Inferno, through tweets and foursquare check-ins. Social Media Hell launched at 2011 SXSW Interactive, where players confess their sins by checking into designated locales or selling their souls through twitter posts. A leader board took form, with the top player of SXSW becoming mayor of hell. Read Less

Summary
Ever Googled yourself? Your prospective employers are doing the same—and checking out your tweets, status updates, and photos. Of course, you’re most likely finding out about them too. So we wanted to try a new kind of job interview: The Social Interview. We asked summer internship candidates to allow us to post three questions to their Facebook wall—not for them to answer, but for their friends to answer. It gave us a more complete picture of the candidates. With thousands of answers posted, we discovered some of the most young, social media savvy minds around.
