Re-imagining QuickBooks for the iPad | 2010
A small team of two designers (one of them was me) and one researcher at Intuit was tasked to take an existing legacy QuickBooks desktop product which has been around for over 30 years, and re-imagine the experience optimized for touch on an iPad.
Using an agile process for 9 months we were able to research, wireframe, and prototype a fully polished high-fidelity experience. The designs were adopted by the QuickBooks product team and later implemented for a successful launch in 2011. Today the designs have evolved and the textures have changes but the overall UX structure and overall foundation remains the same.
QuickBooks is recognized as an industry standard tool for accountants and small businesses with millions of users worldwide and an annual revenue over $2 Billion.
