This was my design for the spring semester poster sale. This time around we exposed screens of our designs and printed them live at the table on the day of the sale. I wanted to do something really lettering-centric (which should come as no surprise) and something that was a little encouraging but also a little cheeky. After finding some images on Pinterest of the phrase "Punch Today in the Face" I decided to go with that. The end result has a lot of different styles all meshed together. The word "Punch" has a very gothic, almost minimalist feel to it, "Today" is partially influenced by the signpainting of the past and "Face" has a bit of a Saul Bass feel to it. I really loved how the whole thing turned out and it looks especially good screenprinted on brownish paper.
