In March of 2011, I founded Pucks and Pixels
, a site devoted to designing humorous apparel and posters centered on the sport of hockey. The brand for the site is clean and athletic without screaming sports. Additionally, I chose that particular shade of green because it is not used by any hockey team in the NHL, making it unbiased.
Since its inception, Pucks and Pixels has garnered over 1,300 followers on Twitter, 300 likes on Facebook, and more than 140,000 views. The apparel shop, which launched in May of 2011 and offers 250+ designs, has sold roughly 350 t-shirts and been recognized for its humorous work by sites such as Yahoo!’s “Puck Daddy” and the Aerys sports network.
