Typical flour and sugar packaging poses a number of problems. They are made of paper, difficult to open without making a mess, and challenging to wield while baking. This proposed flour and sugar packaging redesign was done for the Publix brand. Made of 100% recyclable materials, they can package, store and be reused to store typically-packaged flour and sugar. The perforated lid of the flour can be used to dust countertops while making bread or pie crust. The opposite side of the lid be open to scoop, pour, and/or level. Or, most importantly, the entire lid can be removed in the case of a massive, no holds barred food fight.
Many thanks to Spencer Bigum for the fantastic rendering.
